Irina Markova-Shagal
Irina Markova-Shagal is the head of the WBA in Israel, an engineer-economist, a physicist, a talented artist and a poet.
The great-niece of Marc Shagal creates unique paintings. Irina began to make artwork at the age of 58 after moving to Israel. She does not have an arts education, but as Irina says, a talented person does not need to graduate from particular universities; it is enough for person to strive for self-expression.
You may find Irina’s works in public institutions and private collections around the world. The artist, like her great relative Marc Shagal, generously donates her works.
She supported the idea of creating joint cultural and charitable projects and collaboration in the direction of “Medical Tourism”. Currently, work is already underway on the “Autstraction” project for children with autism.
We plan to hold international charity festivals and auctions; these events will help us sell paintings and sculptures created by autistic children from different countries. The funds will be used to socialize these children.
