Autstraction is a charity art platform, a place where art becomes a language accessible to everyone. Our platform was created to support and inspire artists with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), as well as everyone who loves to express themselves through creativity and art, being on the spectrum.
Here you will find not only the works of professional artists with ASD, but also the creativity of children who simply love to draw or create creative crafts. We are convinced that every person deserves the opportunity to express themselves, regardless of the peculiarities of their perception of the world, and Autstraction provides a platform where this opportunity is available to everyone.
The story of Autstraction began with Damir, a young man with ASD, who found a way to share his world with others through art. His first painting, “MIND”, was created with the goal of showing people how the brain of a person with autism works, to help them understand the peculiarities of this condition. This painting became the starting point for the creation of Autstraction, reminding us how art can be a means of communication and self-expression for each of us.
How the art platform works:
The artist sends us their work – be it a painting, a drawing or a craft – and together with us sets the terms of sale. We do not limit the participation of artists depending on their donations to the platform. Our experience shows that it is always possible to find a common language and come to an agreement.
The funds received from the sale of works on our platform are directly transferred to the authors. We strive to ensure a transparent and fair process so that each artist can receive a decent reward for their creative work.
As for the funds that we receive in the form of donations, they are distributed in several areas. One of them is the development of the social project BUGADDY, which deals with the socialization of people with ASD. A part of the donations also goes to the support and development of the Autstraction art platform itself. These funds help us create a comfortable and inclusive environment for artists, where their works can be presented to a wide audience and sold at favorable conditions.
In addition, donations are used to help specialists who work with people with artistic spectrum disorders. We support their initiatives, creative workshops and other social projects aimed at improving the lives of people with ASD, as well as organizing charity events.
